ANNOUNCEMENT ● Annual General Meeting - Elections

Elections for two year term of the Executive Committee were held at the Court Reporters’ Annual General Meeting held in October 2014

 

RE-ELECTED  2014-2016

Joanne Hardie, C.C.R

President, PT•CRAO 

Joanne was a practicing court reporter working within the Ministry of the Attorney General for the past 13 years.  She is now a full time ACT with ANR Transcription Services.  During her career in the profession she has produced certified transcripts for all levels of courts as well as private sector litigation. Joanne has been involved in several large projects that have taken place in the Durham Consolidated Courthouse and has participated in the organization and production of many complex Court of Appeal transcripts.  Joanne has been a member of the CRAO since 2001 and was involved in several roles on the Executive team prior to her election as President in 2011.

GLORIA SCHEERER, C.C.R.

Treasurer/Acting Official Examiner, PT•CRAO 

Gloria is the owner/president of Clearly Spoken Inc., Reporting & Transcription Service located in Kitchener, Ontario.  She started her court reporting career in the early nineties working for the Ministry of the Attorney General and after many years decided to launch out on her own journey as an entrepreneurial court reporter.  After hearing about and joining the Court Reporters Association of Ontario, Gloria set out to become a certified court reporter, received her Certification in 2007 and has been on the executive team since 2011, first as Official examiner, then came the treasurer position, which she still maintains.  In June of 2014, when the Ministry of the Attorney General introduced the new transcription model for in-court transcripts, Gloria became an Authorized Court Transcriptionist and maintains her authorization.   Gloria is a professional and is respected in the local legal community and the various business organizations she participates in.

Beth Gosselin, C.C.R.
Secretary, PT•CRAO

Beth practiced as a court reporter within the Ministry of the Attorney General in the Central East Regionsince 2002 and has been a member in good standing of the CRAO since 2003 earning her C.C.R. designation in 2004.   As a valued member of the ANR transcription team, Beth has a proven track record for providing high quality and timely transcript services through all levels of courts as well as special projects.  Beth is a highly respected court reporter and colleague and her expertise and accomplishments are recognized by everyone who works with her and she will be a welcome addition to the CRAO Execuitve team.
